Fans of the hit hockey romance series, Heated Rivalry, will have to wait at least a year for the second season of the HBO Max show to premiere, but they may be able to find out what happens to the characters before then.
A new listing has popped up online for a new book in author Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” series, the same series that introduced the “Heated Rivalry” book — and the characters of Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov — to audiences.
PRE-ORDER ‘UNRIVALED’ ONLINE $19.99
The new book is titled “Unrivaled,” and it’s the seventh book in the “Game Changers” series. Barnes & Noble has a paperback version of the book available for pre-order right now for $19.99, with the site showing a release date of September 29.
The Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition features a special cover, designed sprayed edges and exclusive content unique to this edition, per the site. This is expected to be a limited-edition release so fans should pre-order the book now to make sure they get a copy.
According to a description online, the new “Heated Rivalry” book continues the story of Ilya and Shane following their last appearance in Reid’s book, “The Long Game.” Now fully out to their teammates and the public and — spoiler alert — newly-married, the book follows how the affectionately-known “Hollanov” navigate this next stage in their relationship.
PRE-ORDER ‘UNRIVALED’ ONLINE $19.99
“For the first time in their professional hockey careers, Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander have nothing to hide,” reads the description. “For more than a decade, they kept their love a secret, but now they’re out, married, and even playing on the same team. But some people in the hockey world are still reeling from their relationship reveal, and the backlash—led by popular hockey podcast Top Shelf and the #TakeBackHockey movement—is getting louder. Ilya and Shane are finally able to stand together in the light, the way they’d always wanted. And now they might be facing their biggest challenge yet.”
