When it comes down to taking photos of friends, concerts, and special moments in between, sometimes you want a better setup than your iPhone can handle. The only downside? Hefty price tags, confusing features with names you’ve never heard of, and the amount of options. Luckily, we found a fantastic deal for any aspiring or amateur photographer at Target: $200 off this Canon EOS R100 camera kit. The deal gets you a compact Canon camera — which includes a lens kit and a one-year limited warranty — all for $399.99.

Shoppers can expect to record full HD video footage at 60 frames per second, according to Canon.

At $399.99, the high-tech, user-friendly Canon camera is seriously discounted off the retail price of $599.99 (and 33% off its original list price). In other words: It’s a massive, must-shop deal for the budding photographer. But be sure to act fast, as the current Canon EOS R100 price could change at any time.

Much like the popular T7 series and more picks from the brand, the Canon EOS R100 is still an excellent choice for any photographer on a tight budget — especially when it’s discounted by $200. The rig is built around a 24.1 megapixel CMOS image sensor that’s built to deliver crisp, clear photos and solid full HD video, whether you’re shooting in bright outdoor or low-light settings.

Plus, the Canon EOS R100 makes sharing your content easy with its built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and connectivity through the Canon Camera Connect smartphone app. We’ve used the app in the past for our Canon point-and-shoot, and it’s a seamless way to capture high-quality photos and download them straight to our smartphone in a few simple steps.

Canon built the EOS R100 with a standard zoom lens, a fast photo and video processor, along with a simple-to-use menu, meaning it’s a solid choice for snapping up everything from live concert moments to action shots at a game. Photography newcomers will also find the camera’s settings easy to manipulate (again making it a good option for beginners), while its face- and eye-detection features allow for quick snapping with next to no camera knowledge.

One of the best things about this deal, however, is that you get a compact Canon camera that weighs about 2 pounds, meaning it’s great for everything from travel to documenting those late-summertime moments.

If you’ve been thinking of getting into photography — or you’re looking to treat an aspiring photographer — be sure to snap up this Target deal soon. It’ll likely end before you can click the camera button. After all, we rarely see Canon camera deals this good.
