Tech accessories and lifestyle brand Casetify has launched its fair share of major music collaborations through the years, from BTS to Blackpink to Olivia Rodrigo, in addition to major global IP like Takashi Murakami, Disney, Coca-Cola, and Sanrio.

This year marks Casetify’s 15th year, and to celebrate, the brand is naming G-Dragon its first Global Brand iCON. With this partnership, G-Dragon will be appearing in the brand’s campaigns throughout the year to celebrate this milestone anniversary.

The brand shared with Rolling Stone that G-Dragon was carefully selected due to his influence across music, art, and fashion, embodying Casetify’s commitment to empowering creativity and self-expression. G-Dragon will “strategically influence our creative direction, reaffirming our belief that technology is the most important canvas for personal expression today,” shared CEO and Co-founder Wesley Ng in a statement.

G-Dragon is not only known for his music credits for himself and the group Big Bang at a time when self-producing was less common in K-Pop, but also in fashion and the arts. When he became a global ambassador for Chanel ten years ago (a partnership that is still active a decade later), he was the first K-pop singer to become a global ambassador for a fashion house at the time. In 2019, G-Dragon was named as one of the “50 Art Collectors to Watch” by ARTNews.

G-Dragon released music for the first time in seven years last year with the album Übermensch and toured throughout most of 2026, performing 39 shows across Asia, Australia, the U.S., and Europe. He’s set to perform at the upcoming Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this April with Big Bang, a highly anticipated comeback for the group following the cancellation of the 2020 festival when they were set to play.
