Country legend George Strait may not be playing at Stagecoach this year but he’ll be there in spirit — literally — as the singer’s Código 1530 has been announced as the official tequila sponsor of Stagecoach 2025.
As part of the partnership, Código has unveiled a commemorative 2025 Stagecoach bottle, which features a limited-edition version of the brand’s signature Reposado, rested for six months in Napa Valley cabernet barrels. Stagecoach attendees will also be able to sip on “Cowboys & Dreamers” Margaritas at the festival — inspired by Strait’s album of the same name — while sitting in a replica dancehall and country bar that pays homage to Strait’s 2019 Honky Tonk Time Machine album cover.

Fans unable to make it to Coachella Valley this weekend can still get in on the action, with the Código x Stagecoach bottle available at ReserveBar.com. The brand is also offering a Classic Cocktail Kit ($69.99) and a Deluxe Cocktail Kit ($109.99) available via CocktailCourier.com. Both come with everything you need to make the “Cowboys & Dreamers” Margarita, including a bottle of Código Blanco tequila, a bottle of organic agave nectar, watermelon juice, limes, a Código-branded jigger, exclusive bandana and more. The deluxe set also comes with a limited-edition vinyl of Strait’s latest album.

Strait performed at the inaugural Stagecoach Festival in 2007 and the country star says he’s excited to still be a part of it in some form or another, after all this time. “While I can’t make it out to the desert this year, I’m excited for fans to experience the spirit of Stagecoach through Código’s limited offerings and the unforgettable memories they will create with friends and family,” he says in a press release. “If it’s not your favorite tequila, you haven’t tried it!”
First launched in 2016, Código 1530’s core offerings now include Blanco, Rosa, Reposado, Añejo and “Origen” Extra-Añejo tequila, all made from 100% blue weber agave that’s matured for up to seven years before harvest. The name of the brand refers to “Los Códigos,” the old-world “codes and customs” that shaped the Jalisco region of Mexico where tequila is made. Strait, meantime, also cemented his partnership with the brand with his own song, “Codigo,” released in 2019.
