Quick answer: The best way to watch X-Men ‘97 online is with a subscription to Disney+.
Fans of the original X-men animated series were in for a treat this week when the all-new series, X-Men ‘97, landed in full force on Disney+. Serving up high doses of nostalgia, action, and, perhaps, memories of a simpler time, millennials will have a feast for their eyes (and ears) as Marvel unveils a new twist on the iconic Nineties band of mutants. The theme song alone is enough to have viewers experiencing flashbacks of their childhood sitting and watching X-Men: The Animated Series on Saturday mornings from their kitchen tables. No more spoilers, though, we’ll let you decide for yourselves on that.
This 10-episode series follows the familiar collective of Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Beast, Gamit as a continuation of the storylines that were originally developed in the 1992 show. A review from the Hollywood Reporter notes, however, that viewers shouldn’t feel the need to brush up on intricate details from the previous show, and that audiences tuning in in 2024, who are familiar with the overarching concept of the X-men, will be able to follow along seamlessly.
Billed by Disney as a “new era,” paired along with much of the same voice cast and similar ’90s feel, we’ve outlined the best ways for fans to stream the new, action-packed X-Men ‘97 online.
How to Watch X-Men ‘97 Online
The first two episodes of the new season premiered on March 20, and subsequent episodes will air weekly on Wednesdays.
Stream X-Men ‘97 on Disney+
The best way to watch X-Men ‘97 is with a subscription to Disney+. Catch the superhero mutants like you’ve never seen them before with a Disney+ monthly plan of $7.99/month with ads, or opt for the premium offering which doesn’t have ads at $13.99/month. If you’re in the market to bundle a few popular streamers together and save some extra dollars, we suggest getting the Trio (available in both a Basic or Premium plan) which gives you access to Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ for $14.99/month or $24.99/month (the latter comes without ads). We prefer this option as a whole library full of sports coverage, TV shows, and movies can be at your fingertips on-demand, whenever you want.
Can I Watch X-Men ‘97 Online For Free?
While Disney+ doesn’t currently offer free trials, if you’re a Verizon Unlimited customer you can get a discount on the Disney bundle, which includes Disney+ (no ads), Hulu (with ads), and ESPN (with ads). Add it as a myPlan perk for just $10/month and experience $8.99/month in savings.
