If camping plans are on the horizon or your outdoor furniture needs a refresh, it might be time to grab a new lawn chair or two. Luckily, that’s much cheaper right now thanks to REI’s 50% off deal on one of their best-selling lawn chairs.

The REI Co-op Outward Low Lawn Chair is currently going for just under $45, down from its original price of $90. And it’s far from a bottom-of-the-barrel product: The chair boasts a 4.5/5-star rating with over 100 reviews, and is the best-selling item in REI’s current 50% off sale.

The chair features a classic folding design and the kind of durable, weather-resistant materials you’d expect from an REI product. The frame is coated aluminum, the seat is water-repellent, light-resistant nylon, and the armrests are wood. The chair weighs just six pounds, and, when folded up, it also has backpack straps for easy transportation.

It’s a great picks for camping trips, festivals, or beach days, but we also like it for extra outdoor seating at home, be it backyard barbecues or evening hangouts on the lawn. I’ll likely pick up two for summertime sessions on my rooftop (don’t tell my landlord).

“I LOVE this chair,” says one of many happy reviewers. “I can’t think of anything I would want to change. Love the color. Love that it’s low to the ground so ppl whose legs aren’t long wont have their feet dangling.”

Another reviewer has used a pair of the chairs for two years. “I love this chair! I take it with me car camping, to music festivals, and, my favorite place to use them, the beach,” they say. “I love that I can carry them on my back. You can attach two of them together by putting the shoulder straps of one chair over the arm rests of the other and carry them both on your back at once.”
