When it comes to Christmas, some things that arrive in plastic are a little controversial… like, say, a fake evergreen tree. Others, though, are a special annual tradition that serious collectors and kids alike look forward to every year — the Holiday Barbie.
Mattel Creations recently unveiled the 2026 Holiday Barbie, and fans have a lot of reasons to celebrate. Not only is she still fully in stock on Amazon, but there are multiple different versions to choose from. And Barbie isn’t the only one dressed up and ready like she’s about to attend the most coveted ball of the winter; Ken is by her side too. While Barbie retails for $45, in true “Just Ken” fashion, he sells for a little less at just under $38.

Arrives as soon as tomorrow.
Decked out in a bright red dress, the 2026 Holiday Barbie comes in a festive keepsake box and features a sleeveless silhouette with a satin bow draped across her side. She also has her hair styled in a sleek, tucked-behind-the-ears look, possibly giving us a little beauty inspo for the upcoming holiday season.

Multiple five-star reviews.
While the Barbie has only been available for a short time, she’s already received glowing reviews from social media users, who are praising everything from the rich red color of her gown to the perfectly coiffed hair Ken seems to be sporting. It’s a stark difference from last year’s Holiday Barbie, when Reddit members shared plenty of criticism about the 2025 doll, particularly her outfitting and makeup.

The Holiday Barbie has been a long and storied tradition at Mattel since 1988. Ever since, toy enthusiasts have flocked to stores to get their hands on the latest edition, with some collectors never even opening the box in order to preserve it for years to come.
And sometimes that meticulous care pays off, because one of the highest-priced Holiday Barbie listings on eBay — still sealed in the box — is a whopping $50,000 (I once owned this exact doll, and I’m definitely kicking myself for not keeping her…).
Whether you plan to add the 2026 Holiday Barbie to your own collection or gift her as a present to play with, now is the time to snag one. It may only be July, but the holidays are closer than you think… and you don’t want to miss out on this year’s release.
