The final event of the FedEx Cup playoffs is here — the Tour Championship will see the top 30 players compete for the trophy and a $40 million purse. Other changes are coming to the tour as well, including new group stage matches, similar to the World Cup, with the new format to be implemented in 2028.
At a Glance: How to Watch the 2026 Tour Championship
- Dates: Aug. 27 – Aug. 30
- Channels: ESPN, CBS, Golf Channel
- Streaming: DirecTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV
Scottie Scheffler enters the Tour Championship a slight favorite. He finished first in the standings, although there’s room for surprises as well. All players start at even par, upping the stakes for the tournament. Last year saw Tommy Fleetwood secure his first PGA Tour victory, breaking a long drought.
This year marks the first time the FedEx Cup playoffs will air on ESPN’s linear channel. Full coverage is split between multiple networks, including ESPN, the Golf Channel, and CBS. The tournament spans four days, kicking off Thursday and running through Sunday.
How to Watch the Tour Championship Without Cable
Because the tournament airs across a range of networks, the best option is to stream the tournament with a live-TV streaming service that carries each channel.
Here are a few options for streaming the Tour Championship live.
DirecTV
➤ Five-day free trial
➤ $64.99+/month
➤ Up to 185+ channels
DirecTV’s Choice package includes ESPN, the Golf Channel, and CBS, all of the channels golf fans will need to catch the Tour Championship. Each tier of DirecTV’s streaming service comes with a five-day free trial, and it has one of the most extensive channel lineups of any service.
YouTube TV
➤ 5+ day free trial
➤ $82.99/month
➤ Up to 100+ channels
YouTube TV includes CBS, ESPN, and the Golf Channel in its main plan, with a variable free trial starting at five days. Following the free trial, YouTube TV costs $67.99 a month for up to five months and $82.99 a month after that.
Hulu + Live TV
➤ $89.99/month
➤ Three-day free trial
➤ 100+ channels
Hulu + Live TV has fewer flexible packages than competitors and a shorter three-day free trial, but the inclusion of Hulu and Disney+ makes it a compelling pick, and it has every channel needed to catch the Tour Championship. You get CBS, ESPN, and the Golf Channel, plus other sports and entertainment networks.
