Previous winners have included James Holzhauer, known for his risk-taking approach, Victoria Groce, and Yogesh Raut, who will seek his second consecutive Jeopardy! Masters title.

The next regular season of Jeopardy! airs on Sept. 14. The long-running series spawned several spin-offs, including the Joe Buck-hosted ESPN Jeopardy! and Pop Culture Jeopardy!, hosted by Colin Jost. “Jeopardy! is a weirdly unifying thing,” host Ken Jennings previously told Rolling Stone. “Young people, old people, red states, blue states — it’s an institution that has this universal acceptance. Whatever the forces of anti-science and fake news and whatever are, they seem to have some carve-out for Jeopardy!“
