The Stanley Cup Final is here, with the Golden Knights and the Hurricanes each seeking their second trophy. Carolina finished atop the Eastern Conference and second overall, while the Knights finished fourth in the West and 13th overall.

At a Glance: How to Watch the Stanley Cup Final

The Knights dominated the top-seeded Colorado Avalanche, sweeping them to win the West. The Hurricanes, meanwhile, lost only one playoff game on their way to the Stanley Cup Final, a feat no other team has pulled off since the adoption of the four-round, seven-game playoff format in 1987.

Vegas last won a Stanley Cup in 2023, were conference champions three times, and won their division five times — no mean feat for a team that played its first game in 2017. The Hurricanes last hoisted the Stanley Cup 20 years ago, and are three-time conference champions and seven-time division winners.
