It’s a big weekend for racing with the F1 Monaco Grand Prix this morning, and now the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500. Rookie driver Robert Schwartzman will take pole position in Indiana, with Takuma Sato and Pato O’Ward joining him at the front of the 33-car pack. In the back of the field will be Josef Newgarden and Will Power, after their Team Penske cars were found to have technical violations.
At a Glance: How to Watch the Indy 500
If you’re looking to watch the IndyCar race this weekend, read on. Below, we’ve rounded up three of the best ways to livestream the Indy 500 online without cable.
How to Watch the 2025 Indy 500 Online
The 2025 Indy 500 is airing live on FOX. If you don’t have cable, you can watch the Indy 500 online using any live TV streaming service that carries the channel. Here are three of the best, including options with free trials:
editor’s Pick
DirecTV
➤ Pros: Free trial, affordable genre packs, ESPN+ included
➤ Cons: Not as many entertainment channels in genre packs as other options
The best live TV streaming service for sports fans is DirecTV, which now offers hardware-free options for cord-cutters. FOX is included in DirecTV’s streamlined MySports pack, which delivers 20+ sports channels and ESPN+ in one package. It costs $69.99 a month, but you get a five-day free trial to check it out before paying.
Fubo
➤ Pros: Huge channel lineup, free trial, watch on 10 screens
➤ Cons: No Warner Bros. channels (TNT, CNN, TBS, etc.), pricey
Another great live TV streaming service with a free trial is Fubo. All of Fubo’s packages carry 150+ channels for comprehensive live TV coverage, and FOX is included in all of them. Packages start with a five-day free trial and cost $64.99 for your first month, then $84.99 a month after that.
Sling
$33 $66 50% off
➤ Pros: Tons of channels, easy to use
➤ Cons: No free trial
Sling is a more budget-friendly live TV streaming service you can use to watch the 2025 Indy 500 online, although it doesn’t offer a free trial. FOX is included in Sling’s Blue plan, but only in certain areas (see if your zip code is one of them here). Sling Blue starts at $45.99 a month, but you can get half off your first month with Sling’s current introductory offer.
