If you’ve got your hat on and a Woodford Reserve Classic Mint Julep in hand, it’s time to find a way to watch the Kentucky Derby. Below is a quick guide on the best ways to livestream the Kentucky Derby without cable, plus details on the race’s horses and odds.
How to Watch the Kentucky Derby Online
The Kentucky Derby is airing on NBC. There will also be lead-up coverage of the Run for the Roses on USA Network. If you don’t have cable, you can stream the 2025 Kentucky Derby online using any live TV streaming service that carries the channel or Peacock, which will have a simulcast.
DirecTV
DirecTV, which is now offering streaming packages that don’t require any hardware, carries NBC and USA Network. You can get NBC in DirecTV’s affordable MyNews plan, which costs just $34.99 a month. If you want USA Network as well (for coverage leading up to the race), you can get both channels in the $84.99-a-month Entertainment Signature Package. Both plans start with a five-day free trial.
Fubo
Fubo is another great option for livestreaming the Kentucky Derby. This service is more expensive than DirecTV’s MyNews plan, but you get both NBC and USA Network in every plan. Packages start at $84.99 a month after a seven-day free trial. Even better: Right now, Fubo is offering $20 off your first month.
Peacock
$7.99
Peacock is a much more affordable way to stream the Kentucky Derby, compared to the options above, although it doesn’t offer a free trial. Peacock plans start at just $7.99 a month for the Premium plan, or you can upgrade to the Premium Plus plan at $13.99 a month. The upgraded plan removes ads during on-demand content, allows downloading, and gets you 24/7 access to your local NBC news channel.
2025 Kentucky Derby Date, Start Time
