Who says Journalism is on the decline? Journalism — the horse, that is — is in the spotlight this weekend at the 150th running of the Preakness Stakes.
The American thoroughbred racehorse is the odds-on favorite at the annual racing event, which is the second jewel of the Triple Crown (along with the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes). Want to watch the 2025 Preakness Stakes? Here’s what you need to know.

2025 Preakness Stakes Odds, Favorites
As mentioned earlier, Journalism is the favorite to win the 2025 Preakness Stakes with 8-5 odds. Other contenders include Pay Billy and American Promise.
Journalism finished second to Sovereignty at the recent Kentucky Derby and should have a clearer path to victory, especially since Sovereignty is skipping the Preakness to focus on the Belmont Stakes.
