The Dodgers are hosting the Yankees for a three-game series over the weekend, in a hotly anticipated rematch between the 2024 World Series contenders. Friday marked the team’s first meeting of the season since the Dodgers clinched the 2024 World Series.
The Yankees likely felt a sense of déjà vu as they watched their lead wither away, with the Dodgers once again rallying from a deficit to secure an 8-5 win. New York will look to respond with a vengeance on Saturday and Sunday’s games, which will air on Fox and ESPN, respectively.

Friday’s game kicked off on an electric note, with both Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani hitting home runs in the first inning. The Yankees held a three-run lead heading into the sixth, when the Dodgers rallied, including another homer from Ohtani, to put them in the lead. The Dodgers went on to win 8-5. The Dodgers will start Landon Knack for Saturday’s game, while the Yankees will start Will Warren.
