The iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foray into the foldable smartphone market, unsurprisingly got most of the attention at the Cupertino company’s “Surprise and Shine” launch event this week. But the lineup also included the admittedly less flashy but arguably more practical iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, with both devices featuring meaningful upgrades in battery life and camera quality.
Now, T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 18 Pro on them with a new line, while existing members upgrade with a device trade-in. Here’s what to know about the iPhone 18 Pro and how to save when switching carriers.
Is It Worth Upgrading to the iPhone 18 Pro?
The iPhone 18 Pro comes in a slate of new colors, with the most eye-catching of the bunch being burgundy. Otherwise, the phone features a design similar to the 17 Pro, including the raised camera bar and identical dimensions (though the latest model is slightly heavier).
That means many improvements come in the form of new features, particularly the cameras. The new models feature a variable aperture lens, an upgrade for photographers. New “Pro” controls also let photographers adjust texture and grain, and users can record video with 4K and Dolby Vision HDR.
The iPhone 18 Pro also received a notable battery-life bump, with up to 36 hours of video playback. Fast charging can also get you up to 50 percent battery life in around 15 minutes, according to Apple.
Get the iPhone 18 Pro on T-Mobile
Looking to upgrade to the iPhone 18 Pro? T-Mobile is offering Apple’s latest Pro model on T-Mobile, for members on the Experience Beyond 2.0 plan. The offer is available to new and existing members, and T-Mobile’s 15-minute switch offer is designed to make it as seamless as possible to switch from another carrier. You can also trade in an eligible device in any condition to take advantage of the offer.
As for the network itself, T-Mobile has the largest 5G network in the U.S., with the fastest download speeds, according to Speedtest by Ookla. The carrier also offers many reasons to switch, like exclusive discounts on concert tickets, streaming services like Hulu and Netflix, and more. Members also get satellite coverage when they’re off the grid, plus data and texting while traveling abroad in many countries.
