Technics used unique “Magnetic Fluid” drivers from its in-ear monitors in designing the EAH-AZ100 for minimal distortion. The goal, in Technics’ words, is reference-class sound, which allows audio enthusiasts to hear songs as close to the recorded versions as possible. 

In addition to the high-end drivers, the EAH-AZ100 earbuds feature LDAC high-res wireless audio, Sony’s codec that allows for high-resolution audio over Bluetooth. The earbuds also feature robust noise-canceling performance, and the ANC and EQ can be customized in the Technics app.

Design

Beyond sound quality, there’s an attention to detail that makes these earbuds among the best of the year. They’re lightweight but fit securely in the ear and feature high-quality microphones for phone calls. The case itself is compact and easy to carry, and it features wireless charging.
